Beddall Carbon Project 10

Project Information:
Beddall Carbon Project 10 is a soil carbon sequestration project located in the Banana Shire of Central Queensland, approximately 30km south-west of the town of Moura. Registered in September 2025, the project covers 208 hectares of agricultural land in a region heavily utilized for cattle grazing and dryland cropping.
The project operates under the Estimation of Soil Organic Carbon Sequestration using Measurement and Models (2021) methodology. This method requires landholders to implement new management activities, such as altering stocking density or introducing legume species into pasture, to increase the amount of carbon stored in the soil. The project's performance is measured by comparing baseline soil samples against future soil carbon levels, with credits (ACCUs) issued for the net increase in sequestered carbon.
Environmentally, the Moura region is characterized by a sub-tropical, semi-arid climate with summer-dominant rainfall averaging between 600mm and 800mm annually. The local landscape typically features fertile, cracking clay soils (Vertosols), often associated with the Brigalow Belt, which are highly conducive to cropping and intensive grazing but require careful management to maintain soil structure.
The proponent, Agriprove Solutions, is a prominent developer in the Australian market known for its "partner" model that removes upfront sampling costs for farmers. The "Beddall" naming convention (Project 1, Project 10) suggests this project is part of a larger aggregation or a single large property divided into multiple project areas to manage risk or stagger baselining activities.
