Project Information:
Waterhole North Environmental Planting Project is an environmental planting project located at Rollands Plains 50km inland from Port Macquarie in NSW. It was registered in August 2024 and covers 30ha.
Environmental planting projects involve planting native trees at a density of at least 200 stems per ha.
The Rollands Plains area is known for cattle farming and forestry operations. The area is considered high rainfall and soils are generally basalt and clay.
This project was set up to show how trees can be used to shelter cattle for the cattle's benefit.
