Nullwarra Improvement Carbon Project 6

Project Information:

Nullwarra Improvement Carbon Project 6 is a soil carbon sequestration project located on Nullawarra Station, approximately 35km south of Cobar in the Orana region of New South Wales. Registered in November 2025, the project covers a project area of around 518 hectares. The property operates as a grazing enterprise, notably hosting the Jan-A-Ree SheepMaster Stud, which specializes in breeding shedding sheep suitable for the rangeland environment. The station lies on the Cobar Peneplain, an area characterized by semi-arid conditions with highly variable rainfall (median ~390mm) and soils dominated by red earths and loamy clays.

The project operates under the 2021 Soil Carbon methodology, which rewards landholders for increasing Soil Organic Carbon (SOC) stocks. To achieve this, the proponent, Agriprove Solutions, works with the landholder to implement management changes such as the application of synthetic or non-synthetic fertilizers to address nutrient deficiencies and the strategic alteration of stocking rates to maintain ground cover. This project appears to be part of a larger aggregated carbon farming initiative on the property, with multiple distinct project areas (e.g., Nullwarra Improvement Carbon Project 1, 7, and 9) registered to manage baselining and crediting across the station's landscape efficiently.
