Landari Blackwood Creek 2025

Landari Blackwood Creek 2025 is a plantation forestry project located in the rural locality of Blackwood Creek, Tasmania, approximately 45 kilometers southwest of Launceston and situated at the foothills of the Great Western Tiers. Registered on July 8, 2025, the project covers a total area of 47.89 hectares. The surrounding region is characterized by a mix of forestry, grazing, and lifestyle properties, known for its scenic proximity to conservation areas like Liffey Falls.

The project operates under the Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative, Plantation Forestry) Methodology Determination 2022. Specifically, it involves the transition of an existing plantation forest to a permanent planting. This activity, often categorized under Schedule 4 of the methodology, allows proponents to generate credits by retaining trees that would otherwise be harvested and the land converted to non-forested uses (such as pasture).
