Greening Australia and Canopy Nature Based Solutions: NSW Restoration Program 2025 is an aggregated environmental planting project spanning multiple distinct bioregions across New South Wales. Registered on September 1, 2024, the project originally covered approximately 377 hectares, though a variation in January 2025 saw a reduction in the project area, likely due to the removal of specific land parcels during the finalization of site boundaries.

The project operates across three geographically diverse areas, highlighting the "landscape scale" approach of the proponent. The southern sites are located in the Snowy Monaro region, specifically near the towns of Bombala and Bemboka, an area characterized by cool-climate grazing and forestry on granitic and sedimentary soils. A central site is located near Parkes in the Central West, a region known for wheat and sheep farming with semi-arid conditions and red clay-loam soils. The northernmost site is situated in the Northern Rivers region near Nimbin, an area of high rainfall, subtropical climate, and volcanic basalt soils often used for intensive grazing and horticulture.

Operating under the Reforestation by Environmental or Mallee Plantings methodology, the project involves establishing permanent plantings of mixed native tree species on land that has been clear of forest for at least five years. The methodology utilizes the FullCAM model to estimate carbon sequestration. As an activity managed by Canopy Nature Based Solutions, the "profit-for-purpose" arm of the non-profit Greening Australia, this project explicitly targets co-benefits beyond carbon, such as biodiversity restoration and habitat connectivity for native wildlife.
