Beoefficiency Electricity Regulation

Project Information:
Beoefficiency Electricity Regulation is an energy efficiency project located in Oxenford, on the northern Gold Coast in Queensland. It was registered in July 2016 and operates within the commercial footprint of a local tavern.
Industrial Electricity and Fuel Efficiency projects reduce greenhouse gas emissions by modifying, installing, removing, or replacing existing energy-consuming equipment. By measurably improving the electricity efficiency of a facility's operations compared to a baseline, the project generates Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs).
The Oxenford region is heavily urbanised, featuring commercial venues, residential subdivisions, and tourism infrastructure situated near the Coomera River. The environment is classified as high rainfall, averaging around 1,500mm annually, and the local geology primarily consists of progressively in-filled alluvial soils, estuarine deposits, and grey dermosols.
This project was originally registered under the name "Beoefficiency Project at the Oxenford Tavern", covering the operations of a popular local pub on the Old Pacific Highway. In April 2021, the project's name was officially changed to Beoefficiency Electricity Regulation, and the proponent name was updated from Beovista Pty Ltd to Beovista Trading Pty Ltd. This project serves as an interesting example of a commercial hospitality venue actively participating in the ACCU scheme by upgrading its internal equipment to cut energy consumption.
