Brou Landfill Gas Capture and Combustion Project is a landfill gas project located at the Brou Landfill facility near Dalmeny and Narooma on the South Coast of New South Wales. It was registered in April 2016 and is run as a collaboration between the Eurobodalla Shire Council and Mike Ritchie and Associates Pty Ltd. While the exact project area size is not explicitly documented, it operates across the footprint of the active municipal waste facility.

Landfill gas projects involve installing a specialized gas collection system to capture methane that is generated by decomposing organic legacy and non-legacy waste. Once this gas is collected, it is combusted and destroyed, usually via a flare or through electricity generation. This process prevents methane, which is a highly potent greenhouse gas, from naturally venting into the atmosphere.

The broader Eurobodalla region is highly regarded for its coastal tourism, dairy farming, grazing properties, and forestry, with the protected Eurobodalla National Park sitting right next to the town of Dalmeny. The local environment features a temperate coastal climate known for high rainfall, receiving an average of over 830 mm annually. Soils in this region generally range from coastal sandy loams to alluvial clays and podzolic soils slightly further inland.

This specific project is an active component of the Eurobodalla Shire Council's waste management and emissions reduction framework, which also includes extensive environmental monitoring of the landfill site to safeguard nearby groundwater and marine habitats. In September 2023, the project underwent a variation to update its methodology to the newer Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative-Landfill Gas) Methodology Determination 2015 (Compilation No. 1).
