Project Information:

ELVA Carbon Project 3 is a soil carbon project located approximately 35 kilometers north-west of Swan Hill, near the Victoria-New South Wales border. Registered in October 2025, the project covers 508 hectares in the Mallee region, an area predominantly utilized for dryland cropping and grazing. The region is characterized by a semi-arid climate with an average annual rainfall of roughly 320mm. The local terrain typically features calcareous sandy loams and earths, though areas closer to the Murray River system may contain heavier grey and brown clays.

This project operates under the 2021 Soil Carbon methodology (Estimation of Soil Organic Carbon Sequestration using Measurement and Models). Its primary activity involves applying synthetic or non-synthetic fertilizers to address nutrient deficiencies in the soil. By optimizing soil nutrition, the project aims to stimulate plant growth and root biomass production, which in turn sequesters atmospheric carbon into the soil profile. The project is managed by Agriprove Solutions, a prominent developer known for using digital soil organic carbon models to streamline the credit generation process.
