National Bus Services Electric Bus Project is a transport fuel switching project located in the Northern Beaches region of Sydney, New South Wales. The project, registered in March 2025, is operated by National Bus Services Pty Ltd, an entity commercially known as Mona Vale Coaches. The proponent is based in the suburb of Frenchs Forest, approximately 15km north of the Sydney CBD, with operations extending across the Northern Beaches and Greater Sydney area.

The project operates under the Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative, Land and Sea Transport) Methodology Determination 2015. This methodology awards carbon credits (ACCUs) to projects that reduce emissions intensity by replacing existing vehicles, modifying them, or changing energy sources. In this specific "group of vehicles" project, the activity involves replacing internal combustion engine buses with electric alternatives or switching fuel sources to reduce the carbon intensity of the fleet's transport services.

The Northern Beaches region is characterized by a coastal urban environment with high rainfall and a mix of sandy loam and clay soils derived from the underlying Hawkesbury Sandstone. While the project is not land-based in the traditional agricultural sense, these environmental conditions influence the operation and maintenance of the transport infrastructure. The region is currently a focal point for electrification, with the NSW Government simultaneously rolling out electric bus infrastructure at major depots like Mona Vale and Brookvale to service the public transport network. This project represents a parallel private sector initiative by Mona Vale Coaches to decarbonize its charter and school bus fleet.
